Werner Syndrome! D: ( Q&A )

WHAT IS IT?????
          According to http://www.wernersyndrome.org/ , Werner Syndrome(WS) is an uncommon, autosomal recessive genetic disorder that mimics premature aging. It was named after a German scientist named Otto Werner. When he was a student, he described the disorder as a part of his doctoral theory. (1904)

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS????

• premature graying and hair loss
• premature cataracts
• osteoporosis
• atherosclerosis
• inelastic and wrinkled skin
• abnormal voice change
• decreased production in male & female hormones
• calcium deposits in soft tissues etc...

WHAT ARE SOME CAUSES????

• defects in DNA
• mutated in the WRN gene* on chromosome 8

*WRN gene- helps repair the DNA

• In WS it doesn't function right so it damages DNA.

HOW IS IT DIAGNOSED?????
       WS is diagnosed based on the patients medical history. If someone as young as 9 has had cardio problems and osteoporosis, it is a possibility that they have disorder. BUT someone cannot have the disease if they've had symtoms prior to their adolescence. THERE ARE NO LAB TEST!!


IS THERE A CURE?????? :O WHAT ABOUT TREATMENT????

    No, but just last year in 2010 scientist research and found that in mice, the same gene is present and they also they figured out that putting vitamin C in their drinking water restored their health and increased their life span.

HOW IS IT PREVENTED????

     I learned that there is nothing but heat and magma at the center at the earth, magnesium is famable, and muscavite is thin.

  Theres NO:( forests or water at the center of the earth, dinosaurs are still roaming, and listening to animals.

i think pluto is still a planet because they call it the dwarf planet. Also because it revloves around the sun, its spherical too.

Global Warming 8(

Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's air. Yes i do believe in global warming because you can tell that the summers we have are getting hotter and in antarctica, ice is melting and that's not normal. Also because of the harmful rising sea levels. the smart people say: Most scientist believe that human activities threaten to disrupt the earth's climate, our most reliable tempature data show no global warming trend, and the best strategy to pursue is "no regets."

RECYCLE!!!!!!

1. We recycle glass because it saves the equivalent of 9 gallons of fuel.
2. Recycling is better than reusing things.
3. We recycle by using your blue recycle rollout cart to collect your recycable.
4. The closest recycling bin is near our trash can.
5. Plastic can be made into soda, water bottles, milk jugs, detergent jugs, shower stalls, paint brushes, drain pipes, plastic lumber, and flower pots.
6. Metal can be made into cans, automobile parts, sidings, appliances, and building materials.
7. One way I can support recycling is to recycle.

I think I deserve at least a B. Why? BECAUSE I DIDN'T REALLY MANAGE THEM ENOUGH.......BUT I WILL ONCE I GET BACK ON TRACK.
